With her new movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" opening up in theaters today, Rooney Mara was last night's (December 19) guest on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon".
The 26-year-old actress turned up at NBC's Rockefeller Center looking adorable in a black and white mock neck slit Rodarte for Open Ceremony dress paired with black Prada ankle strap heels for the talk show appearance.

Of the family tradition, Rooney dished, "There's over forty grandchildren and every Christmas Eve we go to their house [her grandparents] and they have Santa Claus come and we have to sit on his lap to get our present."
Curious as to who takes on the role of St. Nick, Fallon asked, "Is it just a stranger, like a drifter off the street or do you hire a real Santa Claus?"
"No, it's usually like one of my uncle's brothers or something," Mara replied before Jimmy chimed in, "So I guess it would be your uncle..."
Clarifying things up, Rooney said, "No, no. Not blood related," to which Fallon joked, "Oh, not blood-related? That's a rule [laughs]. You can't be blood-related or you can't play Santa!"

Lindsay Lohan's Celebratory Playboy Shopping Spree

Spending a little of her hard-earned cash, Lindsay Lohan closed out the week with a holiday shopping spree in Beverly Hills on Friday (December 16).
The "Georgia Rule" starlet stylishly strutted out of Barney's New York and towards her valeted ride after browsing the department store's selections.
The sighting comes the very same day in which LiLo's cover issue of Playboy magazine hit newsstands.
Of the Marilyn Monroe inspired spread, the men's magazine's founder Hugh Hefner told E!, "She had done semi-nudes before. I wanted to do something that would be memorable. So what is more natural, since she is a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe, than do something that is a tribute to the red-velvet, Tom Kelley photo shot of Marilyn Monroe that was our very first Playmate?"
Noting that Lohan was hesitant to shed her clothes at first, Hef continued, "I think it was essentially mama and the folks around her that kept pushing for less nudity. And I said, 'We're doing a nude pictorial here. We're going to do it in a very classy way and we're going to do it in a way which it will not be forgotten."

Lady Gaga is setting the record straight about those rumors that she was supposed to be a part of the re-recording of “We Are The World.”
According to reports by a host of Web sites, including Rolling Stone’s, Lady Gaga was one of the many artists (also including Beyonce, Eminem, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z) who were reported to be a part of the historic re-recording to aid Haiti - reports that later proved to be premature. And on Thursday, Lady Gaga explained to Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show,” why she wasn’t in the LA studio laying down a track earlier this week.
“I’ve actually been in rehearsal for my new tour, but I was never supposed to do ‘We Are The World.’ So that’s a rumor,” Gaga told Billy on Thursday afternoon by phone.
The pop singer extraordinaire explained she was asked, but she’s actually been very involved in raising money for the earthquake-ravaged nation already.
“I believe that they may have asked, yes, about it, but I was unable to do it,” she explained. “And I’ve been working on my own charity projects for Haiti. We’ve raised over half a million dollars for Haiti already and we like to work specifically with charities that are based in Haiti itself.”
And Gaga has dug deep, not only donating her own take from one of her shows on her current “Monster Ball Tour,” but also hosting Haiti-benefiting sales on her Web site.
